Timothy J. Cappuccilli, J.D. is a 1994 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law and earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1986. Prior to becoming an attorney, Tim was a partner with Camex Realty Corp., a real estate development and management company. During Law School, Tim worked as a Student Law Clerk with the New York State Supreme Court, Honorable Thomas J. Murphy, and with the United States Attorney's Office.
Tim focuses his practice on general and complex business law as well as estate planning for clients. Tim's work with business clients includes services concerning the forming of closely-held businesses, advising closely-held businesses in their business operations as well as advising on business succession plans which minimize estate and income tax consequences of transferring business interests. Tim has represented closely-held businesses and their owners before federal and state courts in matters involving dispute resolution, commercial contracts and in other business-related litigation matters.
Tim is admitted to practice law in all levels of the courts in New York State as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. Tim is a member of the Onondaga County, New York State and Northern District of New York Federal Court Bar Associations.
Tim is active in the community, having volunteered with various not-for-profit agencies through the years and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels of Syracuse, New York, Inc.
