Career Opportunities

The firm conducts an extensive summer program for second year law students. Those selected to participate spend approximately 10-12 weeks with the firm, usually beginning after Memorial Day.

Our summer program is the mainstay of our hiring process. The firm looks for candidates who have demonstrated excellent academic credentials and relevant work experience. While there is no formal rotation system, the firm makes a conscious effort to expose its summer associates to all aspects of our practice. Although work assignments focus primarily on research and writing, summer associates participate in departmental meetings, client conferences, depositions and court proceedings.

Each summer associate is provided with an in depth review at the conclusion of the summer together with feedback and instruction throughout the course of the program. Each firm attorney is required to complete an evaluation form for each project completed by a summer associate.

The firm currently conducts on-campus interviews at Syracuse University College of Law, Albany Law School, Cornell University School of Law and State University At Buffalo School of Law. Other interested candidates may forward a cover letter together with a resume to the firm care of Hiring Partner.
