Client Alert

New York passed a tax amnesty program authorizing the Penalty and Interest Discount (“PAID”) program, which allows the Commissioner of the Department of Taxation and Finance to administer an accounts receivable discount program by waiving interest and penalties due on older, unpaid tax bills. The program begins on January 15, 2010 and requires eligible taxpayers to make payment in full by March 15, 2010.
