About the Law Firm
Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Fetter & Burstein, P.C. was formed in 1979 for the purpose of providing sophisticated tax, business and estate planning services to its individual, business and professional clients. Originally formed by five attorneys, the Firm now consists of thirty-one attorneys and a full support staff.
While the Firm has enjoyed significant growth for more than twenty-five years, it remains dedicated to providing prompt, cost effective and high quality legal services to individuals, corporate, business and professional clients, entrepreneurs, closely held business owners and governmental agencies. The Firm’s Business, Tax, Healthcare and Estate Planning Practice Groups are among the largest and most sophisticated in Central New York. The Firm is a leader in providing succession planning to multi-generational business owners and provides its clients with expert advice in the pension and fringe benefit fields. Its Healthcare Practice Group provides legal services to members of the medical care community, representing individual providers, hospitals, professional organizations and independent practice associates throughout New York State. Toward this end, in February 2002, the Firm opened a new office in New York City to better service its expanding client base.
The Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group represents retailers, developers, contractors and architects with a heavy concentration in commercial development and leasing. The Firm enjoys a general litigation practice with particular emphasis on business and environmental litigation, serious injury matters, estate litigation, construction contract matters and family law.
Annually, the Firm conducts several highly respected, widely recognized and accredited tax, business planning and other seminars attended largely by members of the legal, accounting, financial and insurance communities often with continuing education credits that are given to attorneys, C.P.A s and C.L.U s. Commercial leasing, merger and acquisition, and certain financing advice is given on a national scale.
The Firm’s state-of-the-art support systems, high level of technology and dedicated work force provide clients with a prompt, accurate work product.
