Catherine A. Ray
Catherine is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she studied psychology, as well as a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law. During law school, she gained invaluable experience working at the New York County Surrogate’s Court, assisting pro se individuals with various estate administration matters. Her experiences further include working as a Summer Associate at a boutique estate planning law firm in McLean, Virginia, working in the Legal Advocacy department of the American Diabetes Association, working as a Student Attorney in the Syracuse University College of Law’s Bankruptcy Clinic, as well as working at a policy think tank in Washington D.C.
Catherine received the CALI Excellence Award in Estate Planning and graduated a member of the Estate Planning Curricular Program.
Prior to law school, Catherine worked as a Deputy Clerk at the Fairfax County General District Court and interned at Congressman Connolly’s office. In addition, she volunteered at the Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute and Community Services.
Catherine is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, holds a third-degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and is classically trained in piano and viola. She is also conversational in Korean.
